I give up! You pot heads win! You are right. Let’s legalize/decriminalize drugs. Our Republic is so far down the toilet we mine as well give it a final flush. Afterall, Obama says we are not really a Christian nation and there are to many impediments to allow people to truly be free and find their place in life. Even though I doubt very much our Founding Father’s would find government sponsored and legalization of poisoning our culture, destruction of our moral values as a Judeo-Christian society, in the Constitution as they intended it. So perhaps a little shooting up, snorting, or smoking dope will further enlighten the minds of the citizenry and then we can all get along and live in peace and harmony. So, fine, let’s go for it! You have my complete support, as long as the following conditions are met:
1) drug users forfeit their right to vote, 2) drug users forfeit their right to operate a motor vehicle, 3) drug users forfeit their right to raise children or adopt, and mandatory sterilization, 4) drug users forfeit their 2nd Amendment rights to bear arms, 5) if harm to a person or destruction to property occur while under the influence of narcotics they are sentenced to prison for life, hard labor, no parole, 6) if a person is killed voluntarily or involuntarily by a person under the influence of narcotics they are sentenced to death, 7) not one penny of tax payer money is to be spent for drug rehab or welfare. If the user fries their brains to the point of drooling on themselves and can’t remember to unzip their fly to take a leak that is to damn bad.
John Adams, our second President of the United States once stated: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”. Security without liberty is tyranny. Liberty without virtue and the rule of law is anarchy. Laws are based on morality. The argument you can’t legislate morality is not only flawed it is asinine.
